Now for sale is this nicely equipped 1968 Ford Torino GT. The Torino GT was the upscale Torino in 1968 with standard body decal stripe and standard equipment V-8 engine. The Ford Torino was produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1968 until 1976. Described as "Ford's newest bright idea," the all new Torino was created to eventually replace the very popular Fairlane name with an all new brand of Ford beauty, power and style.
This particular car has the “S code" option which means it is equipped with the 390 c.i. 4-valve engine. It also comes with a 4-speed manual transmission. The rear gears are 3.25 to 1, which make cruising at higher speeds more practical. Other options for this well equipped GT are A/C, power brakes and power steering.
The interior is a time capsule from the 1960’s with many original components still in tact. The white paint and burgundy decal stripe compliment each other very well.
While the Mustangs and Thunderbirds are bringing top dollar at classic car auctions, the Torinos are still reasonably priced for now. They are however, not getting any cheaper and the demand will definitely rise in the years to come.
