This is a restored 409 horsepower dual quad 409 bubble top. The restoration on this car is absolutely beautiful. This car represents what drag cars of the sixties were all about. Base car, big power, four speed and very little else.
The previous owner of this car recalled being in grade school when a neighbor brought this car home new from the Chevrolet store. He was so intrigued with the car, he skipped school to spend a day gazing at this new wonder. Later in life he would purchase that same car, that mesmerized him as a boy. Recent nationwide competition puts this awesome car in a national first prize category. Antique Automotive Club of American plaque #W16748 is assigned to this car.
