Engine & Transmission: Original 340 V8 with X heads. Original Carter 4 barrel carb is included, however, a new Edelbrock electric carb Model 1406 has just been installed. Transmission is original Torqueflite 3-speed (P R N D 2 1). Odometer shows 18 miles as the car has just turned it's first 100,000. Both engine and tranny are believed to have never been rebuilt. This car is in good running condition. It does not have the prettiest color (in my opinion) but it still gets the looks because it is a roadworthy 1969 340S! Note that this is not a Formula S car with black grill and trunk panel but rather it is the first year with a fastback barracuda having the option of the 340S engine. The original color was red with black stripes. As a new owner you can get this car back to original color. All fluids recently changed. Very little to no rust on this car. Body has all original panels. The rear quarter panel had been repaired some years ago before I owned the car. All parts are original as far as I can tell except for the hood and front two bucket seats. A newer cassette radio had been installed by a previous owner but the original working AM/FM is included. I also hate to say that the previous owner cut a hole in each door for apparently to install speakers - simply terrible in my opinion. This is a great car for a great price - mostly number matching original stock car. Rear end is 8 3/4. Included in the sale are a few add-ons such as white gage stickers and manuals.
